This Kitten Pillow is a prototype that I made for the Hearts And Littles Paper Pattern Set. The heart shape is 10″ X 8″ and is finished with a yellow and black check wool backing that creates a self-fringe.
I have signed the back with a fabric label that says,
“Primitive Spirit prototype designed & hooked by KRKahle 2001″.
The sagey green background colors are a shade lighter than the soft pink nose of the kitten as she watches her first butterfly. A borderline of red wools frame the scene.
Aside from its decorative use, the Kitten Pillow can also be used as a teaching tool that demonstrates how I blend colors.
